Quick start
1. Create your account
- Choose Start free trial at the top of any page, or on Pricing. No card is needed.
- Sign up with your email address or with Google.
- If you signed up with Google, your address is already confirmed. Otherwise open the confirmation email and click the link. Until you do, you cannot add inboxes, connect an AI app, create API keys or add a passkey. No email? Check spam, or choose Send a new confirmation link in Settings.
2. Connect an inbox
- Open Inboxes and find Add an inbox.
- Enter a label, like "Work Gmail", and the email address. We work out the mail service from the address.
- Choose Add inbox. For Gmail or Outlook you go straight to Google or Microsoft to sign in. For iCloud, Yahoo, AOL and other mail, a private form asks for an app password from your mail provider.
- Wait for the first sync. The page updates on its own when it finishes.
If it says it could not connect, see Fix a connection. If we could not tell the mail service from the address, the form opens server fields for you to fill in.
Details for each provider: Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, other mail.
3. Add Inbox Triage to your AI app
Copy the MCP URL, https://getinboxtriage.com/mcp, and add it to your AI app as a connector. Then sign in and choose
Allow. Steps for Claude,
Claude Code, and ChatGPT.
4. Try your first triage
In a new chat, ask:
- "Show me today's email and tell me what needs me."
- "Which newsletters do I never read?"
- "Draft a reply to the email from Dana. Don't send it."
More ideas: Starter prompts.
You can connect inboxes and your AI app in either order. If your AI app is connected first, it can walk you through adding an inbox and hand you the sign-in link.
