What happens to the mail already in my inbox?

Connecting does not archive, delete or mark anything. Mail that was there when you connected is the backlog. Your daily brief and triage start from the day you connected, and you can work the backlog whenever you want by asking your assistant for a catch-up. Every change it makes can be undone for 7 days.

Can Claude or ChatGPT read my email?

Yes, once you connect your inboxes to Inbox Triage and add it to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector. Your AI can then read, search, and sort your mail. It sends an email only after you turn sending on and approve that email, unless you turn on Send on my behalf for simple replies.

Which email providers work?

Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook.com, Hotmail, Microsoft 365, iCloud Mail, and any mail service that offers IMAP, such as Yahoo Mail, AOL, Fastmail, Zoho Mail, or your own domain. Yahoo, AOL and iCloud use an app password from your account settings with that provider. See Yahoo and AOL and iCloud.

Which AI apps work?

Any app that can add a remote MCP server: Claude (claude.ai and desktop), Claude Code, ChatGPT (developer mode, on a paid plan), Cursor, VS Code, and automation tools such as n8n, Make and Zapier. Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Grok can add remote MCP servers too, but we have not tested them yet. Apps that cannot sign in through a browser can use an API key. How much does it cost?

The free trial lasts 7 days and includes 3 inboxes. No card needed. Pro is $15/mo for 5 inboxes, plus $2/mo for each extra inbox, up to 10. Prices are in US dollars, plus tax where it applies.

Can my AI use more than one email account?

Yes. Pro covers 5 inboxes and can grow to 10. Your AI sees them together, with a tab for each inbox.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Inbox Triage runs on our servers. You add one web address, https://getinboxtriage.com/mcp, to your AI app and sign in.

Can't I just connect my AI to my email myself?

You can, and for a developer with one inbox it is a reasonable choice. You would need to handle app passwords or your own OAuth setup with Google or Microsoft, and keep that access safe. Inbox Triage handles sign-in, several inboxes, approval before sending, and undo for you. See the full answer.

Does it replace my email app?

No. Your mail stays in Gmail, Outlook, or iCloud, and you can keep using your usual app. Changes your AI makes show up there too.
