Inbox TriageYahoo and AOL Mail in your AI app
Yes, Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI apps can work in Yahoo Mail and AOL Mail through Inbox Triage. You make an app password at Yahoo or AOL, enter it on our private form, and your AI can read, sort, draft, and send after you approve.

Make a Yahoo app password
- Sign in at Yahoo Account Security.
- Turn on Two-step verification if it is off. Until it is on, the app password option stays greyed out.
- Choose Generate and manage app passwords. On some accounts it sits under Other ways to sign in.
- Choose Generate app password, name it Inbox Triage, and copy the 16-character password. Yahoo shows it once.
AOL Mail
AOL works the same way at AOL Account Security: turn on two-step verification, then generate an app password.
Connect it to your AI app
- Create an Inbox Triage account. The trial needs no card.
- On the Inboxes page, add your Yahoo or AOL address. We fill in the mail server for you. Choose Connect and paste the app password on the private form.
- Add Inbox Triage to your AI app once. In Claude, add a custom connector with
https://getinboxtriage.com/mcpand sign in. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode (paid plans) and create an app with the same address. In Claude Code, run one command. See the steps for each app. - Ask your AI: "Which newsletters in my Yahoo inbox can I drop?"
Addresses we recognize
These fill in the right server automatically: yahoo.com, ymail.com, rocketmail.com, aol.com, aim.com, verizon.net. Yahoo uses imap.mail.yahoo.com and AOL uses imap.aol.com, both on port 993.
What your AI can do
- Read your mail, and search the whole mailbox on the server.
- Archive, move to Trash, mark as junk, and star, with undo for 7 days.
- Find newsletters and unsubscribe, after you approve it.
- Write replies in your Drafts folder, and send one after you turn sending on and approve it.

No. You enter it on a private Inbox Triage page. We test it against the server, then store it encrypted. If the test fails, nothing is kept.
