Use Inbox Triage with Claude Code

Add the server

1. In your terminal, run:

   claude mcp add --transport http inbox-triage https://getinboxtriage.com/mcp

2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp.
3. Pick inbox-triage and choose Authenticate. A browser window opens.
4. Sign in to Inbox Triage and choose Allow.

Slash commands

Inbox Triage's starter prompts show up as slash commands:

• /mcp__inbox-triage__triage_today: today's mail, what needs you first.
• /mcp__inbox-triage__since_last_check: everything since your last triage.
• /mcp__inbox-triage__vip_catch_up: only mail from your VIPs.
• /mcp__inbox-triage__clean_up_newsletters: review mailing lists to drop.
• /mcp__inbox-triage__reply_to_what_needs_me "Work Gmail": draft replies. The inbox name is optional.
• /mcp__inbox-triage__draft_reply 3 "yes to Tuesday": draft a reply to row 3 of the last list.

Put arguments that contain spaces in quotes.

Numbered lists

A terminal cannot show the interactive inbox view, so you get numbered lists instead. Refer to rows by number: "open 3", "archive 2 and 5", "unsubscribe from 1". Drafts print with To, Subject, and the full body. Every archive, trash, or spam can be undone for 24 hours: say "undo that".

Questions in the terminal

For decisions that are yours, Claude Code shows a short prompt from Inbox Triage: sending an email (Send, Edit, or Cancel), unsubscribing, removing a VIP, and changing one VIP's message. Your answer comes from the prompt, not from the model. If you dismiss it or it times out, nothing happens.
