How do I get a phone alert when my AI needs my approval?

Sign in on your phone or computer, open Settings, and choose Turn on alerts on this device under Approval alerts on this device. You then get an alert when your AI is waiting for you to approve a send, a spam report, or an unsubscribe. With no device added, we email you instead.

How do I turn alerts on?

  1. On the phone or computer you want alerts on, sign in and open Settings.
  2. Find Approval alerts on this device.
  3. Choose Turn on alerts on this device, and allow notifications when your browser asks.
  4. Choose Send a test alert. The page says "Test alert sent to" and the number of devices.

Repeat on each device you want alerts on, up to 10.

How do I get alerts on an iPhone?

  1. Open getinboxtriage.com in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  3. Open Inbox Triage from your Home Screen, go to Settings, and turn alerts on there.

What does an alert say?

It says what is waiting and for whom, such as a send to a person or a spam report about a sender. It never includes the message itself. Tap it to open Waiting for you, where you can approve or skip.

You get alerts for approvals that wait on the website, and for sends held under Send on my behalf, so you can cancel them. When Claude or ChatGPT asks you directly in the app, you answer there and get no alert.

What if alerts do not work?

  • "This browser does not support alerts." Use another browser, or on iPhone add Inbox Triage to your Home Screen first.
  • "No alert could be delivered. Remove the device and turn alerts on again." Choose Remove next to the device, then Turn on alerts on this device.
  • "Too many devices. Remove one first." You have 10 devices. Remove one you no longer use.
  • Nothing arrives: check that notifications for your browser, or for the Home Screen app, are allowed in your phone or computer settings.

If you miss an alert, everything waiting for you is still listed at Waiting for you.
